I love that Larami Plesio - so far, I have been able to find it in 3 different paint schemes - the one shown in Fox's pic, a green and pinkish one, and a blue one. I wonder how many others I haven't seen.

Interesing, what is different on that edition? Is the text of the novel different somehow? The text isn't any different, it's what newspapers and things would receive to write reviews of the book. What's interesting though is its a paperback, it's a first edition (hardback first editions also go for quite a bit of money), and on the back it says "Coming November 20 from Knopf, MSRP $19.99" It's just an interesting collectible since Michael Crichton is my favorite author ever

Yeah, great collectible for sure. So, is it dated 1990, then? I wonder how many others I haven't seen. I only knew the blue one and this Carnegie-clone. So, a green and pink one also exist? Do you own that one?

Well I got my hands on the following at the Fernbank Museum in Atlanta, GA: Safari Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus and Triceratops. Also got myself the top notch Ichthyosaurus from Carnegie. I almost didn't get the Brachiosaurus but mah sister got him for me 'coz she's so precious. She paid for it when I wasn't lookin'. That stealthy brat! I didn't see the Cryolophosaurus, though! And Diplodocus will come later. I owe Dan for a Diplo, and I intend on keeping mah promise. I was supposed to meet Ashere, but he had to pack for school and it's his first year so I gave the kid space. Going to U of A seems a big deal around here in the GA area.

Five Kabaya figures from different series. Oh, no! The poor herbivore being assailed by four predators. As if its existence was not quite threatened enough by recent findings already. ;D These were all pre-owned and only one came with one-fifth of a 'Seismosaurus': the left flank and two legs. It is also sandy-coloured with stripes, and not grey as I've been accustomed to seeing. I expect this is a repaint or something.

I stopped by an old antique mall/soda fountain I used to work in, on my way home from work today, and found this! (the pic is not of mine, but the only good one I found online.) I think it's cute, the rex has an awesome head-bitey action at the man in the front of the truck ;D I don't know how rare this is, or if it's the most common jp matchbox toy of all time, but I think it's charming ^_^

^ Bah, it's perfectly safe: the monster has one foot chained. And there's a guy watching him all the way. There will be no problem.

I got the first issue of the Jurassic Park: Redemption comic. And hopefully the second one will arrive tomorrow.
I'm not a big fan of comics: maybe it's just me but I can never tell what the heck's happening in them and it usually takes me about 3 or 4 re-reads to absorb everything. The JP:R comic is no exception and it's not doing much for me at the moment. And why does adult Tim Murphy look like Anne Robinson from the Weakest Link?

Cute little critters ;D Some Oldies but goodies ;D SRG (small figures) Now, if only I can get my hands on those elusive marine critters... Tsukuda duckbill This is only my third figure from the collection. Finally, my flock of hesperonis... one about to be lunch ;D

I'm not sure whether I'll get the next issue-even when I did manage to understand the narrative, it was rather mediocre (WHY are they making another park? They should know better) Got a Carnegie Velociraptor today. Not the new one, the older tripod tiger-stripe one. I thought it looked cool. Also all other toys labelled Velociraptor in my collection take after the JP mistake, so it's nice to have an actual Velociraptor. @boki: What's the blue rabbit thing in the extinct creatures collection?

This "Mosasaurus, Tylosaurus - whatever" marine creature by Mattell. - Boah, boki, those SRG and the Hesperornis are really cool! -

Oh good, glad to know it's not just me. Yeah the whole thing seems pretty dumb to me at the moment. But the cover art of the Triceratops crowding around the jeep for issue 2 convinced me to buy it.
I also recently got a book called 'Thunder Lizards!". It's a how-to-draw Dinosaur book, which is pretty good because it goes into some detail on anatomy and such. Sadly most of the book is just the usual "draw a circle, draw a cylinder, blah blah" stuff. But worth the price I paid for it.
