Nothing special by this time, just a Kinto Favorite Uppersnouttipsaur--er, Spinosaurus: ;D It looks even more orange in the flesh, or rather in the PVC It seems so...garish. Especially given that many of the original Favorites were so reserved in their colourings. But in a nice, appropriate way.

I must say that I really am not a big fan of this one. I won the desktop version, and it is indeed a beautiful model but the paint on this version is just so simple and garish.

Paint seems to be one of Kinto's weak points. I picked up a Michael Trcic desktop T. rex model a couple of years ago and found that the teeth hadn't been painted separately from the rest of the head--the coloration pattern just extended from the snout down into the mouth! It only took a little bit of white paint to fix, but one just shouldn't have to do that with a product that's as expensive as the desktop models are.

And I just bought 11 of the Dawn figures You must be rich! haha, not quite...they were only the small ones, so it was less than a hundred dollars. I haven't bought anything substantial for a while so I figured I'd splurge for once

Beautiful! I only have the very first issue, the one with the raptors and the sauropod Which is arguably my favorite.

And I just bought 11 of the Dawn figures So you got the whole set of the little guys, huh? I got all of the little ones that they had available except the skeletons (just one). The larger figures are cool and very tempting... but for $36 dollars! Of course I'm sure I will be regretting it later on when the supply runs dry and the price for each of those skyrocket! ;D Can't wait to see them in person ;D

Yeah, the cool thing is, a few months ago I had zero Herrerasaurs, now I have three. I'll post some individual pictures of the whole lot of the Dawn of the Dinos figures in the Expo thread eventually. Both of the resin figures, Frengi and Saurosuchus, are very nicely done - no flashy colors but lots of detail work. Cool lineup Looks like the CollectA herrera goes well with this group

And dip, yes I have the same problems with the Paralititan. I knew before that it is smaller than other "Deluxe" figures but the head is really odd. On the other hand I bought weird-looking CollectA figures before (even Gigantoraptor) and probably will go on doing so. A few days ago I needed to stop myself buying the 1:15 T-rex ;D. I went for it due to my fixation with sauropods, still glad I did and glad I repainted it. But that curly tail just won't stay straight. Cheers.

Well, thats the spirit, after all, where else would we get a paralititan figure ;D I had similar reaction once I got mine, but it has grown on me... just like the shuno ;D

That Shuno is pretty poor, eyes are so out of line but no one else has done one yet so I guess that's something.

So, I guess I can put in what I've received lately. PV amphibians (thanks Fran!). Second time owning the set--don't think I'll sell it again (right EDIT--wrong member, should have been tsums--that was a lot of years ago). Some of the little Japanese eraser dinos--including an orange ammonite! Harryhausen Phororhacos (broken legs, but he'll be fixed) Dawn of the Dinosaurs Frenguillesaurus 6" figure + exhibit book: And part one of my DotD set (the others are on order from Clawmark): Also, my set of Fish of the USA arrived, including the gars and sturgeon! I'll put photos of those in the fish thread.
