You have an awesome Einio there ! (same with Dan's) The David - Martin combination is always a guaranteed winner and ....... Therizinos, we should really rename this thread to just 'David Krentz Models'.

Great pics Chris. I'd have to say the third and fourth pics are my favorites. Btw, I've been out on two excursions myself this week, so I know how bad the heat can be. When you are barely moving, and sweating like your running a marathon, you know it's bad. lol

I finally managed to make time to head out into the woods today and get pics of my Einiosaurus. I almost feel like a took a trip to some Cretaceous forest, the humidity was awful, I got sunburned, countless spider webs in my face, lost a few gallons of sweat..and made many thousands of well-fed mosquitoes..all to bring you these rare photos of a living DINOSAUR ! ;D I took this one and many more of other living dinosaurs without a single bead of sweat or any bodily harm. ;D Nice pictures though. I'm jelly.

These are perhaps the first posted Andesaurus pix from Shapeways? Here is the gamut of Krentz's sauropods, only missing that elusive anniversary Dippy: 1:72 Antediluvia resin Apato and Jobaria, 1:144 Shapeways Alamosaurus and Agustinia, and between the last two, the brand new 1:72 Andesaurus in WSF. So, good news, it is an awesome piece with great detail; please peruse the shapeways page for better detail shots. Here is an overhead: The only mild peevish observation I have, is that I thought the model would be bigger. Yes, the specs are right there on the order page, but you never can tell, really until you get it. It is approx the same size as the Alamosaurus 1:144, about half the size of the 1:72 Jobaria and Apato. Of course, it dwarfs the 1:144 Agustinia. Still a great model, I may have it outsourced for painting (I did the Alamo myself, but I think this can be done better by someone that knows what they're doing), and I am very happy to have it, just thought it would be bigger, so be aware of the size when you order. Glad I didn't get the 1:144 version. I did go back and read that DK said this would be based on a smaller individual to keep costs down, so consider it a juvenile in the herd, if necessary. Mind you, I'm not complaining, merely making an observation. Lastly, I should mention the strategic placement of the hollowing-out hole in the model, which is anatomically about where it should be. Anyway, another lovely addition to the line, and a must-have for all DK/Shapeways collectors. Thanx Dave, for another great model, can't wait to show the painted version here sometime, and I look forward to many more great models from you. ;D

Nice! It's as 'big' as I expected it to be and goes well with the Antediluvians. Black Detail takes longer . BTW: Is Shapeways already producing in New York as well?

Thanks Jeremy , yeah it was pretty bad..I'm even used to working in it..but not under all that cover.. the woods held it in like a greenhouse ! lol I like diff pics for diff reasons..some the clarity was better one, but I do like 4 and 6 even with the blurriness..it works and make the piece look like it's really there I think. ;D
David, anytime sir...heck I'll even take photos and review for ya' for some free pieces.. ;D
Dinolord..nice pic..I guess I could have sat on the porch with some sweet tea and just photographed the bird feeder guests..but if you want the " cool " living Dinosaurs..you have to head out into the wild.. heh heh ;D

Thanks for the comparison shots, Radman! It's exactly the version I've ordered, too. I expected it to be similar in size to the Alamosaurus, so no problem for me. Since WSF is the least breakable of the materials and the tail is so curved I didn't dare to order it in any other material. Now I can't wait for mine - and for the release of the 1/72 Giganotosaurus, too!

Unbelievable! You received the Andesaurus yesterday and that's what you made out of it within just one day? Not only is your paint work awesome, you're also incredibly fast!

Gawk...it's stunning Martin! It's almost unfair how talented you are. Can't tell you how fun it is to see these though. Beyond your sculpting and painting skills, I really admire the custom modifications you bring to your models. They all make me smile because they capture the feeling of peering back into time, if only for a second or two. How lucky we all are to have people like you and David to bring these to us. Whatever you do, don't stop posting them!

My intention was somewhere between standing up from seated position or possibly laying eggs or 'relieving' itself. The hole I put in the animal to make it hollow is in the cloaca, so I was pretty sure someone would do one of the latter! So who will be the first to make a crapping dinosaur diorama?
Andesaurus was not as big as people think. At the very most 60 feet. The material available for Ande would only put it at 50 feet. . I have not received my 1/72 scale one so I can't vouch for how the scale turned out. The Antediluvia Jobaria was based on an early 65? foot estimate ( so long ago, can't remember) so if Ande is 50 feet than it looks pretty close. This was certainly a hard one to judge scale on. I had to eyeball it and take a ruler to the screen before outputting it for printing.
Shapeways is really behind on orders. I'm still waiting for MANY including the Giganoto.
Sorry, been slow producing anything new. Just trying to finish this #$%**!!! show.

So who will be the first to make a crapping dinosaur diorama? Well, the gauntlet has been thrown down, that's for sure. Based on the recent evidence, my money's on Martin Garratt. ;D

Like most archosaurs (except most turtles and lizards )they have no bladder and excrete uric acid which is not soluble in water(it's the white stuff in bird poo) Little urine is produced and would be mixed in with the feces and uric acid.
