Of course the Giganoto is very accurate, that´s what I meant with well proportioned. But, appart from that, I find the details and colour scheme very appealing and pleasing to look at. That mosasaur is also very nice, does it have a fluke in the tail? I can´t tell.

Yeah that was a piant job i did for a customer, David Siva. The tail fin is sort of like a sharks sort of but without the deep 'V' notch in it. It runs north and south whereas the tail Fluke you refered too like in a whale runs Horizontal east and west. know what i mean?

Absolutely great! That must be easily the best Giganoto model I´ve ever seen. I might be biased because I love spiky carnosaurs (the smooth skinned ones look "naked" to me), but still is undoubtely a great job: well proportioned, menacing and natural looking. Good paintjob too. I agree i too like my theropods knarly but even though i as an artist flesh the models out in the way i think they may have looked , i must be careful not to just create them the way i want them to look but to follow the Fossil evidence at close as possible and sometimes they turn out a little different then i thought in my mind, its more of a forensic reconstruction for me instead of a artist impression. i think nature can produce a much more interesting animal than our own minds could ever create. It always makes me wonder why movies change science around to make the creature more "appealing" , im sure hollywood could never make anything as cool as they were in real life! If you look close at the Allosaur sculpt he has alot of scutes all over his upper body, the photo i took was kinda washed out in regards to detail . enjoy anyway. thanks. I think of spines as being forerunners to feathers..so spines do make sense to me..I'm not totally being artistic I guess..lol The Giga looks awesome, I admit I wasn't initially as impressed..even after seeing Martins buildup..but that detail shot of the head really is excellent. The spines portrayed in the Giga is what I was aiming for with my " Todd Marshall " mention. Both Allo and Giga are in the same super family ..makes sense they would share some traits like that. I can't wait to see the Allosaurus all painted up..should easily show all the detail there. ;D Thanks for reminding me I STILL need to get that Mosasaur BTW. In regards to the image question you had..are you uploading them straight from your computer to the site ? That could be why there is only one image per post allowed. If you have an online photo hosting site, like Photobucket, Flickr, or even Deviant Art or Facebook you can just link to each image and post as many as you want in one post.

David has some beautiful pics of his Mosa on his FB page..that's where I first saw it...I don' t know which I prefer this one or the varanid coloring of the one on your site. Maybe I just just get two..one for each side of a mantel ? ;D

The paint work and sculpt are top notch..I've just always felt there was a loss of dynamic in this one..the Iguanadon looks pretty nonchalant considering a big bite was just tore out of his leg..heh.

I definitely mean no disrespect to Shane, but like Chris said, the Iguanadon looks kinda out of it. I guess you could say it's in shock, but I'd much rather see it be a part of the action.

I posted his latest buildup on Martin's thread...it is spectacular..mods and all ! ;D I love Steve's buildup as well. His was the first to take one of the Eotyrannus and place it on the back of the Iguanadon. I think that took this diorama to a whole new level.

This shows how just altering it a bit you get a much better piece :

I know how to improve it even more. Do one of these Eotyrannus fit under the left hand of Iguanodon? Upside down, of course. ;D

Well, having attended Wonderfest this Weekend, I can say that I'm even more in love with Shane's work, than I've ever been. I couldn't pull myself away from his table for too long, as it had the best pieces on it. ;D His Iquanadon vs Eotyrannus is enormous. You have to see it in person to truly appreciate it. I'd like to post a few pics I took at Wonderfest, all of Shane's work of course. To start off, I thought I'd post a pic of Shane with his beautiful pieces. The guy's shirt says it all. ;D Here are a few pics of his new, and very popular Allosaurus. Please excuse the crappy quality of the pics, as I had to use a flash, due to poor lighting. Here he is, telling everyone to back off of my Apatosaurus. ;D
