Again, very cool to see pics of Shane and his creations all together, one can truly get a sense of proportion. That Tarbosaurus will soon be mine! Thanks for sharing!
Any more pics of other stuff forthcoming, i.e, were there other prehistoric artists at WF?

I posted a pic of myself and Martin Garrett in the Weekly Garrettization thread. I met Steve Riojas, but didn't get a picture. I met William Stout, the good folks from Prehistoric Times, as well as David Silva. I think I'll post a new thread with all the Dinosaur related pics I took at Wonderfest. Everything not related to Shane's work.

Really awesome. I like a lot the Tarbo and saurolophus sculpt, specially the duckbill! you really feel bad for him.
Torosaurus frill should be slightly longer, I think (unless the author is suggesting some sexual dimorphism with its size, which is ok)

I like the photo showing all of the models on the table- makes for an impressive display of works- the paintjobs are very nice on them and present the models well-

The Tarbo is very cool..just wish it was scaled up ! ;D Reminds me of a mountain lion stalking a baby deer footage I saw once...imagine putting some high plants in there..you wouldn't know if the baby was spotted or if the Tarbo was going just barely miss it...I love the story.
His Torosaurus and Trike also have my attention now..CRAP !!!

Reminds me of a mountain stalking a baby deer footage I saw once... That must be one ferocious mountain! ;D But in all seriousness, I think those are all wonderful models. The table is a beautiful way to display all of them too. I'm sure that that table must have been one of the most outstanding ones at WF!

One of the things I spoke with Shane about, was how well his table stood out from the rest. He said he didn't want to blend in with all the other tables, most of them being either black or white. The only other table that stood out so well, was Adam Dougherty,a.k.a. Kreature Kid"s table. His work was amazing!, but not Dinosaur related. ;D He's got a facebook page, so I strongly urge everyone to go check out his work. Even if it's not your thing, you can still marvel at his amazing kits, a few of which were painted up by Steve Riojas. In fact, I saw quite a few pieces built up by Steve.

If he has a way to do it there Shane should also consider bringing along his own lighting. Something stronger than what's on the show floor would really make his pieces stand out even more. Maybe even diff color LEDs ? I might suggest it to him later.
Did Shane mention if Sideshow had contacted him yet ? ;D

He actually did have a small lighting setup this year. He had one of those plastic tubes with leds in it. I don't know what the technical term for it is. He had one of those going along the bottom table. You should be able to see it in the pic of the entire setup. It's nothing major, but enough to catch your attention. I didn't even think to ask if Sideshow had contacted him about doing work for them. I always assumed they had, but he turned them down, so that he could focus on his models. I'd much rather he do that, because no matter how great a sculpt he did for SS, they'd end up giving it a less than perfect paint job.

I was thinking more large spotlighting.. ;D If Shane did a really awesome piece for SS though we could always get it repainted. Just like the ones we have now could be..but the paint is decent enough I haven't thought about it much. Doing piece for them would also help his business at least a little bit I think...get his name tossed around a bit more.

The two " bronze " looking pieces on the shelf behind Shane there..are those his too ?

The piece on the top shelf is his Stegosaurus and Ceratosaurus in a versus diorama. It's a faux bronze piece. The Triceratops skull under it, is the 1/10 skull by Dinostoreus.

The Stego looked familiar.. but I couldn't tell what the other was.
Do you have any shots of them closer up ? Shane was trying to get to go the faux bronze route last year with his Acro but I couldn't really feel it. I'd like to see more.

Trust me i do my homework.

Yes I probably was fooled by the perspective, and I wasn´t sure about it. Now that I notice, in the two profile shots seems about right. A superb work, man!

Shane's display was easily the best at the show- the setup along with the quality of the models were truly impressive. It would have been worth driving from New Jersey to Kentucky just to see that alone.
