Hi guys. I started to make some preshistoric fishes for shapeways. The first one was the gemuendina: And i just received two new models (still unpainted)(ill post better pics): PTERASPIS BOTHRIOLEPIS I still didnt get the Anglaspis because i had some problems with the hollow version .. The next two models will be: -DORYASPIS -ANOMALOCARIS ill made these two models available when shapeways send them to me so i can confirm they are correct. I am working now on some ediacara fauna ;D I dont make this for money (my profit is just 1$ in big models and less in smaller ones) so Id like you to tell me what creatures would you like to have and ill make them if i can. SO PLEASE I ACCEPT SUGGESTIONS!!! I plan to make some prehistoric sharks, amphibians, etc... Il post the new models in this post. I almost forgot. The models can be ordered here: www.shapeways.com/shops/prehistoricAnd please post your paint schemes

If you are willing to try amphibians, I might suggest Crassigyrinus or Prionosuchus. Or even, as a fish, Panderictthys.

These are great razh00! I appreciate that you don't make a lot of money on these - sounds like David Krentz really doesn't either, talking with him, and he's looking to find a better way of selling them because of it. Hope he works that out so some of the out of stock versions become available again.
I sure love having yours available, so glad you find it worthwhile!
Have you considered trying to do a same-scaled series of some kind...assuming these aren't made at the same scale that is? I love being able to put several models together in dioramas!
I'd like to see: Hemicyclaspis Drepanaspis Marrella Wiwaxia Trilobites Sidneyia Burgessia Any amphibians!!!

Sbell is right; we need more amphibians. How about a diadectomorph like Limnoscelis, shown on a log in Zallinger's mural, "The Age of Reptiles?" Another suggestion is a microsaur, like Pantylus, with its large head, shown in the Macmillan Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs. I will hold suggestions for early reptiles until another time. I want that Doryaspis.

Thanks for suggestions. Probably ill made most of the especies you said including the amphibians. totoro i allways try to make to models in scale. The models i made so far are aproximately in 1/3 scale except the anomalocaris. The list you wrote contains the coolest species in prehistoric fishes world so most of them were in my plans stemturtle Id like to make some small reptiles but ill try to make these at a 1:35-1:40 scale, for example the Limnoscelis you said fits perfectly at this scale with 3,7cm for shapeways. Pantylus is really cool ill made it too. When i get my models ill post pics.

May I suggest that you try to get your amphibian figures to fit the size of Kaiyodo and Play Visions? These are around 7 to 8 cm, which may be twice as large as the scale you mentioned. Can't wait to see photos when you are finished.

Great job on these fishes razh00! If your doing amphibians I thought it'd be great to have a 1/22 scale rhinesuchus to go with the 2011 safari inostrancevia.

dont worry about scales if you want a model in a determinate scale for diorama purposes or whatever, just tell me what dimensions you want and ill upload a new resized version (it just takes 3 mins to change the scale)
By the way. I just finished the ediacara fauna!!!
these are the species ive made:
1 halkieria (i think this one is not ediacaran) 2 CYCLOMEDUSA X2 SPECIES 3 KIMBERELLA X2 SPECIES 4 tribachidium 5 cloudina 6 Parvancorina X3 SPECIES 7 DICKINSONIA X3 SPECIES 8 SPRIGGIA 9 YORGIA 10 Bomakellia kelleri 11 INARIA KARLI 12 RUGOCONITES 13 CHARNIODISCUS 14 PRAECAMBIUM SIGILIUM 15 Thectardis avalonensis 16 CHARNIA 17 VAVELIKSIA
**maybe some of these models cant be printed because some of them are really tiny (and relatively cheap)

Excellent, razh00! I guess a lot of these ediacaran models could easily still be printed even if they were only a centimeter across. What was it, wall thickness should be >0.9 mm or so? Man, I'm really looking forward to them.

Wow they are very good. Are they all the same size or scale? How can I get them? Are you going to do the Cambrian, Burgess Shale next?

Wow they are very good. Are they all the same size or scale? How can I get them? Are you going to do the Cambrian, Burgess Shale next? Agreed! And I also wonder about scale (fingers crossed!!) If these are to scale, that would be GREAT as it would allow some really awesome scenic displays! If they aren't though... ... then they can just be displayed by themselves - and you would just sell one rather than a bunch! For example, I would buy several of some to make a scene [hint, hint ]!

I tryed to made the madels in 1/3 scale (some as before), but with the limitations of price and minimum size it has been a little bit difficult. Those species had big size variations, which made easier to scale them. This is the list: As you can see considering species size variations they are all in 1/3 scale ;D, except for the Parvancorina. But If anyone wants a model in a determinate size just tell me and ill upload it.

Nice! I think it'd be a great idea to make different sizes available on request even though it might mean more work (at least resize- and uploadwise) for you.
