So as I mentioned earlier, I have now seen the whole line of Mojo figures (ironically, on the day that Mojoceratops has been definitively synonymized back into Chasmosaurus, but I digress). I am guessing that most people won't have seen them yet--it is a small line with so-far limited distribution, in a market with some very popular and/or well-established players. There are some figures, at least, that probably deserve a chance; others... As a picture is worth 1000 words, I will just post sans commentaire. Where possible, I am comparing them to CollectA figures I have; I have neither the mammoths nor the velociraptor (I didn't realize that until this evening). So, the photos: Group shot--the whole line as it exists: And the modern animals I also got to take a look at (many of these are excellent, guess which is my favourite! ;D)

I received them as dealer samples from Endless Games. (hence some are in less than perfect condtion--the Stegosaurus is missing a thagomizer!). Since they have a rep in the US, they should become available there eventually. What we are trying to figure out is whether or not we need three lines; we already carry Safari and CollectA at the T.rex Centre. There are some I would rather carry--the Smilodon, the Sarcosuchus, the mammoths, maybe even the Para, some of the moderns--but most are pretty close to their CollectA roots (so why bother) or are done better by Safari. Of course, I don't know prices at this time, which can help. And stormnl, the split and all of its glory was discussed here: dinotoyforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=toys&thread=2694&page=1

Like the tylo and mammals, and even the croc ;D The others, not so much. Hmmm wonder if these are really new sculpt or left over prototypes from when they were still wroking for CollectA ;D The similarity is just so small Anyways, I still want to get a hold of that Tylo and mammals.

Some are too close to their roots, others are just not great. But--we may hate the raptors, but my kids love them; they think they (and the wolves) are the greatest part of the lot. And on that note--I really am impressed by the modern animals I received.

(If you straightened them out, how much longer would it be?)

I actually have both--and yes, the Mojo appears that it would be longer, and it is wider.

When it comes to these things there is no substitute for the "handling and ogling test". ;D

Hey, thanks for taking the time and posting these, Sean. Very interesting! The comparison shots really help. Mojo really is a mixed bag. Kinda like CollectA was at the beginning, except like most have said, a few are actually better. I probably like the Sarco the best too. Their Tylo is better than the CollectA, but for some reason, when I look at his face, I'm reminded of Jimmy Durante! The Choco-saurus rex is god-awful, as well as the cartoony Trike! The Para isn't bad, but those monkey arms have to go. On the flip side, the modern-day animals do look pretty good.
