Oh yeah...he had an awesome Godzilla design that would have been 1000x better than what was ended up with... I believe he was also working on A sound of Thunder...an older issue of PT has some of his sketches in it...but he must have been dropped from that project as well...prob due to budget...since nothing in that film met any of my expectations or anyone else's apparently... Bradbury should have sued...someone like Spielburg or Bruckheimer should have done it..with a studio like Universal .
How's your comic guy getting it ? I'm pretty sure it hasn't been published in awhile unless he traded for it or something.

Age of Reptiles thread, I resurrect thee.
Okay, so who has the Omnibus collection? I want to blab mindlessly about how awesome it is, along with spoilers.

I felt sure such a thread had to be already in existence. Thank you to Pango for pointing it out, and to Dan for the resurrection. ;D I do indeed have the omnibus (thanks also to Dan!). I'm a little cautious about spoilers too if I were to say much about it, but if nobody minds, I may just go ahead.

I'll avoid this thread then for the time being if you guys are going to go spoiler-happy on me. I have a copy on order but it hasn't arrived yet..

I won't if it is preferred; that's why I thought I'd ask first. But I thought you'd read all three series?

Oh man, you missed one crazy sequence then.
Okay, my favorite scene in Tribal Warfare...
A Deinonychus lunges at a Tyrannosaur, only to be knocked right off the side of a massive cliff, plunging into the waters below. Under the water, the raptor briefly regains consciousness, spotting a large shadow in the distance. It draws nearer and nearer, until we finally see this massive Shonisaurus closing in on the raptor, huge jaws agape.
What a way to go.

Didn't Shonisaurus live in the Triassic?
I'll get my coat.

I'm pretty sure that was the raptor's last thought before he was eaten by one.

Oh man, you missed one crazy sequence then. Probably the sequence I wanted to speak about. ;D As being the part I was least 'happy' with, in what I thought was the best work in the entire series, both in terms of story and artwork.

It kind of felt like a Godzilla sequence, and wasn't exactly the conclusion that I'd hoped to see. Something involving the main herd would have fit better. Especially if the baby Triceratops was worked into it somehow, if only for one frame. Favorite character, easily.

LoL. Well, you may as well just say it, I'll take the heat for it. I was referring to the pliosaur battle.

All of these deserve to be animated. Tribal Warfare really drug me in... I re-read those plenty of times. If I had to pick a favorite though I have to go with The Hunt...it's a great story showcasing my favorite dinosaur.. ;D

Well, I never would have guessed, Blade. Alright then, I'll post my thoughts in some length at some point...

I bought the omnibus! Half because I wanted to read the other comics, and half because I only got the first issue of The Journey and couldn't find the others in the shop later.
My favourite sequence would be the mosasaur battle in the final part of The Journey. It was just so crazy, and there were all these other bits that were in the panels, like a little pterosaur who narrowly avoids getting killed in the heat of the battle.

That battle sequence was pretty cool...maybe a tad unrealistic...but still pretty awesome. I'd love to see that done in statue form or model kit.

I have to point out I found one small problem with the Omnibus...it doesn't list the cast of characters for Tribal Warfare and The Hunt like the regular comics did. It's not a big deal..just something I missed.
