Hi, I'm new here, but I just wanted to thank everyone for the very kind things written here regarding my silly comic book. Sincerely, Ricardo Delgado I really like your work. Just thought you should know. Also, awesome that you have joined us! One more thing--I really enjoyed a PT article you did several years ago, where you discussed just how awesome it was to work for Disney...especially when you hinted at what we lost in the process.

Holy Smokes!!! I would have to say that they are far from silly, considering they are framed on my wall! Thank you much for bringing those wonderful comics into the world. You have been a huge inspiration to me. Never ever ever would I have thought that when I started this thread you would post on it! Awesome day, and you Sir are just great.

Wow...Ricardo..Delgado is here..I feel star struck...seriously ! ;D I remember sitting in the back of my mom's station wagon " reading " and " rereading " your first two series while she ran errands. I bought every issue needless to say.. and they have been a continual source of inspiration for me. " Silly ? " Far from it..they are exceptionally entertaining. I've been looking for that collection you mentioned in PT that will have one of your stories in it.. " The Body " wasn't it ? When does it come out ? I really hope the Ancient Egyptians series you have planned has Spinosaurs in it too..I have a younger cousin who is a Spino-centric dino-fan..he's been reading your previous AoR work as well..one of the few things I can get him to read off the computer.

Sbell,
I've worked for DIsney a few times in my career, and it has been a complete pleasure on my end, despite how DINOSAUR turned out. I made many friends there, which is what life is all about for me. Sepp,
Many thanks for the purchase, especially in this economy!

Pangolin, I feel honored. Wall space is also at a premium these days, lol. Very kind words, thanks.
Blade, Station wagon reading is a staple of both our childhoods, and I'm glad I was able to contribute, lol. Lemme see, the Body will be published in December, and I'm closing in on the end of lineart for the first issue of Ancient Egyptians. So hopefully I can plow through this second issue quickly. Please feel free to ask any questions of this Kaiyodoholic, lol.

Any plans to release more art pieces like the first four lithos you did ? I also wouldn't buying a big coffee table-type book either or sketchbook maybe ?
Do you have a facebook age or website ? I've looked for years for one and never found you...( not to sound creepy at all ) .

Blade,
Many thanks for asking. My daughter has started to put together a website over at ricardodelgadoart.com. It's up, but in fast development. There's also three sketchbooks that I did over at Stuart Ng's book site. I'm putting together some print images right now for early next year. Also, I've published two novels that you can find if you amazon.com my name. Thanks again for your interest, especially since there's so many more talented people around that you can choose from. Actually, you would be doing me a big favor if you went to my site and let me know that it is in working mode, such as it is.
Please feel free to ask my anything. At everyone's service.

Do you have prints of some of your concept art for movies available like disney dinosaur or sci fi movies? Or will you include it on the site?

R Thanks for the link ! So far it seems the front page comes up, I've " liked " it on FB and that worked as well. So what's there does seem to be functioning. Those prints sound cool..pretty interested in seeing them... I hope they are a bit more species -centric like your previous comic covers and lithos. The Journey covers were good, they pretty much gave you the idea of the overall story in each issue..but I did miss the detailed individual Dinosaur art of past issues. I was a little surprised that no Allosaurus ever made it onto a cover of The Hunt either. The cover of AoR 1 really impressed me and grabbed my attention on the shelf of my local comic shop : That particular image was responsible for a big change in my art style..I think you can see how I borrowed from you in my own work... ;D blade-of-the-moon.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d3fxjfbI just loved how detailed your Dinosaurs were and how much character they showed as well..a great mix. Are those sketchbooks pretty Dino-centric ? I have to say that's where my interest mostly lies..lol

Blade,
Your words are very kind. I hate my drawings from the first two stories. Working on a few prints to come out soon on my site. There's a few unpublished dino drawings in my first sketchbook, but I don't see it listed anymore on Stuart's site.

Aww..man. Don't hate them..if anything they are learning pieces getting you to where you are now bud...stepping stones of progress. No need to hate them..they're awesome as far as I and others are concerned. I'll keep an eye out for those prints ! ;D

I think it would be really awesome..advertise it in PT at least...or send Mike a review copy. That should get some coverage. You could do prints on a print-on-demand basis..people order then they get printed or something similar..I'd love to have one signed by you .. ;D
