There are rumours about Bakker recently working on the specimen and preparing a paper about it ( the one which shows scutes, croc scales on the belly AND quills on the back and tail. I guess its the same you´re talking about, because I ain´t heard of 2 "mummified" trikes..)

Yea, those are male and female trikes. Thought I'd go with the Horner keratin head idea. Males have long spines coming from the posterior osteoderms and their heads are colored like hornbills/fender stratocasters. I have amazing photos of the mummy and I used them to sample skin textures and stamp them onto the models. Glad you like em, I had fun with those! DK Did... Did i read it right? Keratin head? Long spined epoccipitals? Just... WOW The day i'll see that Trike mummy, it will be a very happy day!

But you might as well just watch this show because the skin on that CG model is identical!

Another question: Is it possible to watch the US discovery channel (free TV?), online via live stream? Here in Europe it is pay TV and for me the only possibility to watch the show would be to wait until someone put it into the net on Youtube or elsewhere.

I really hope they air Dinosaur Revolution on Sept. 4th here in Canada, sometimes we have to wait a good while before they air US Discovery Specials up north of the border :/ (Shark Week was a good week later than it was in the US! WTF! Lol)

As I asked for Planet Dinosaur, do you know a way to watch Dinosaur Revolution outside the USA? Is there a web page where we can watch it streamed??

I think that is something you'll likely find after the documentary airs. Unfortunately If I want to watch it I will also have to find it online or wait for the DVD.

I've shown some footage, images and articles about DR of which I've obtained from here and the net to some fellow dino freaks, and their reactions were like WTF! What's wrong with the colors? Why are they so ugly? What's with the clapping hands? etc, etc.... Sadly, these folks 'still' consider the dinosaurs from the JP series as the most accurate and scientifically up to date Anyways, since it obviously won't air here, I'm gonna purchase the DVD when its out...

Sadly, these folks 'still' consider the dinosaurs from the JP series as the most accurate and scientifically up to date Then they can't be proper dino freaks. Jurassic Park freaks, maybe...

I love the JP dinosaurs as well, but I've always considered them as movie monsters, and it kinda bugs me when ppl think they are (scientifically) accurately depicted..

But i'm BOTH a dino-fan and JP-fan... Problems? ;D Same here ! ;D To dyscrasia: frankly, i prefer to consider JP dinosaurs as "movie ANIMALS" rather than "monsters"... The term "monster" should only be applied to creatures completely made-up like Godzilla, Xenomorphs, Graboids and such IMHO. (oh well, that's the movie-nerd in me talkin' ;D)
