She uses her tail fan with a little va-va-voom. I asked the animators to make Juliet ( the female Eo) the dinosaur version of Jessica Rabbit. I think the animators were so young they had no idea what I was talking about. It supposed to just be soft tissue, its not an isolated feather. Kind of like some of the decorations you see on lizards, and unless you were lucky it would never leave a trace in the fossil. As for the youtube thing...seriously people...doing that can get you put in jail. No joke. The companies who make shows have invested a great deal of money and resources and taking away the eyes from the screen opening night means bad ratings. Bad ratings ( at least as far as this crowd goes) means that all the people who PAY for these shows to be made will stop making them because no one watched it! If one does get made anyway they will pay a lot less attention to it and we'll take a giant step back in the quality and science. By the way, Angie is right in speaking for me. I'd be pretty lame to ask people not to talk trash about the show on this forum The internet was invented for things like that. Just because I'm a member here doesn't mean you need to be gag your opinions. I will quote Ray Harryhaussen and say " we did the best we could, for the time and money we had". Tomorrow is officially my last day on the DR. I'm feeling kind of sad about that D

Oh, no forum is fine. I love you guys. I need to respect the requests of my superiors and they asked me to not discuss the show or basically participate in the forum. And I will do this. Its fine, they just worry I will do something I shouldn't or something or talk about the show to much, etc. Dinosaur forums are what I do and I love hanging out with those that share my interest, but as I'm new to this type of job and respect those in charge I need to do what I'm told. No heartache involved. I'll just really miss you guys:) Best to you guys and enjoy the show! But--you don't have to leave, just don't discuss the show. And everyone else, stop asking.

Whew..sound for a minute like you were leaving the WHOLE forum . That would have been..well.. You'll be good in two weeks I bet..after it airs talking about it won't be an issue. Honestly avoiding spoilers here is getting really hard..and Discovery's teasers and such aren't helping..lol ;D

Mmm, I can agree with that. If there is something in which Dinosaur Revolution REALLY stands out, it is the models. Animation bugs me a bit, and seeing good models and real environments being used for "life"-action cartoons is odd, but hey, for seriousness we'll see Dinosaur Planet.
And, about the leaks, those also work as good publicity. When I'm expecting something, any and all leaks hype me up to insane levels. I still remember January 2008 and any and all details about the Japanese release of Smash Bros Brawl; and the joy at seeing the definitive character list a week before the game came out, and screenshots of EVERYTHING 2 days before official release. Still bought it when it came out over here, 5 months later.
I absolutely prefeer to watch things in TV format that in YouTube quality, while we are at that. And I'd still watch the grand opening, or even reruns.

That. Was. Amazing. Seriously, guys. You outdid yourselves on this one. I loved every minute of it. Not only was it factual, and had amazing looking dinosaurs, but there were great stories, which I loved the most.
Speaking of the amazing dinosaurs, PLEASE tell me that there are plans to make them into a line of figures, or maybe some future Shapeways figures.
Epic. ;D

Awesome, guys! Great designs, David and beautiful colors and patterns, Angie! Really enjoyed these first two segments. Yeah, they might be a wee bit "humanized" in some instances, but, the awesomeness of the animals and the very cool original story lines more than make up for it. You should be very proud of your work! I ended up not recording it because I know I'm already getting the DVD. ;D PS ~ David, I don't remember you saying anything about that bit you were a part of at the end of the second segment. You guys looked like kids in a candy store! It's amazing that Allo had any jaw left at all, after seeing that experiment. The only thing I missed about that story was how he was able to feed himself until his jaw healed and also without having a mother to help. He definitely was a determined little guy!

The first episode had good parts but the quality of animation was off, the models were good and the colors were nice just poor animation. Now The Watering Hole episode was AMAZING...I was into the story, the characters all of it. The animation was good..not a problem in sight for me...I just wished it was longer !
