Same here. If Krentz ever gets around to re-releasing that Rex Mundi piece though...

Amazing show! Loved it! Can't wait (but have to of course) for the DVD!
Can't you tell that I liked it?
Walking with Dinosaurs set the bar back over 10 years ago (man, is it that old already?!?) and this one definately raises that bar even higher. Personally, I can never get enough prehistory on TV. The more the better. Even better when it's GOOD TV. Dinosaur Revolution was amazing. Great animation, great stories. And I loved those skull faced Tyrannosaurs.
My wife almost lost control over her bladder laughing over the Allosaur biting the head off the Ornitholestes bit.

Thank you so much for that link. I've been trying to find high res images of the "broken jaw" Allosaurus. The few on here will do fine for head reference. Does anyone know where I might find any high res images of the rest of the Allo's body? Any help would be much appreciated. ;D

My guess would just to wait and see if the one artist posts some more texture work, or keep checking Krentz's posts on Zbrush. Don't worry, as soon as I find something, I'll post it here asap

I'll be putting up some of my Allosaur stuff at the end of this week. Just getting through some WWD3D work right now. Also, in case you missed this... I'm hosting a FREE webinar on THIS Thursday November 10 at 10 AM Pacific time on sculpting dinosaurs with the artist friendly software ZBrush. This will be a preview of a longer class set for the 18th of November where I'll cover the creation of a digital dinosaur from start to finish. This is the same program I created over 70 dinosaurs for Dinosaur Revolution. Its basically sculpting digital clay! If you've ever been curious about new methods of digital sculpting and how it can be applied to paleoart or research for free this is the perfect opportunity. The webinar will be held at www.creatureworkshops.com/You can register there. The preview will be live and will be about 1 1/2 hour long. Hope you can join me! David Krentz

Jurassic Park's was bad. Looked realistic, but was quite inaccurate.

Pffh... Even with the innacuracies (long arms, big feet, etc) the JP Rex was and still is the most life-like restoration of the King ever appeared on screen.

I agree with sid - the JP TRxes designed by Winston looked both alive and real, which no one else has quite managed to get right. The physiological inaccuracies are a different matter. I can draw a morphologically accurate cartoon Trex but its not going to look "real" like Winston's Rexies do ...

When I was eight years old sitting in that movie theater the Tyrannosaurus looks pretty d**n realistic to me, I didn't care what was wrong with it.
