Watched the pilot yesterday. Will never watch any of it ever again. It's so badly written... I guess dinosaurs just aren't enough to pique my interest in this sort of thing any more. There must also be good action scenes, interesting characters, as little plot holes as possible, well written dialogue and that thing called a 'good plot'. TN had none of these. I might be interested in dinosaur action figures from this show thouygh, if any. The problem is there aren't enough dinos to capture my interest. That means the rest of the show really needs to do something well, and it just doesn't. Trying to hard to be family friendly.

I've stuck with it the whole way through (since it makes good uncomplicated Sunday night viewing fare), and I think it has improved a fair bit. 'What Remains' was probably the worst episode of the lot, and it really came too early in the series. It's still not amazing television, and it HAS evolved into 'Avatar WITH DINOSAURS!', but as I said, it's good if you just want something entertaining and simple on a weekend night.
Though if you want character development then there isn't really that much to be found. The Shannons are really irritating in that regard since whatever conflict they have with each other is neatly resolved by the end of the episode.
The dinosaurs haven't been particularly interesting-maybe too many people pointed out how dumb the slashers were. We've had a bunch of raptors, a giant komodo dragon with a frill, more brachiosaurs, and a baby ankylosaurus that the youngest Shannon kid adopted, never mentioned for several episodes, then released it into the wild. They better be saving FX money for the show to become Dino-Riders in the finale or I will be disappoint. :/
